  1. ***********  Welcome to the Demo release of QuickText ***************
  2.  
  3. QuickText is an interactive desktop video program designed 
  4. to easily develop and display almost any type of graphic screen, 
  5. including titles and credits, pictures, and even animations.
  6. Other features include full ARexx support, auto screen sequencing, 
  7. on-screen timer, text and numeric variables, a recordable/replayable 
  8. "doodler", and an easy-to-use point-and-click interface.  
  9. "QT" works on any Amiga with Workbench 1.2 or higher, and requires Ruby 
  10. and Diamond fonts which are included in all releases of WorkBench.
  11.  
  12. Well-suited for on-line video titling & credits, silent paging, 
  13. and cable reader boards.

  16. RUNNING the DEMO:
  17.    
  18.         HARD DRIVE:
  19.                 Boot up as usual.
  20.                 Place Demo disk in DF0:
  21.                 Click twice on "QTDemo" icon
  22.                 Click twice on "QTDemo" icon in window
  23.                 (of course, the demo will also run from the 
  24.                   hard drive if decompressed there...)

  26.         TWO FLOPPY DRIVES:
  27.                 Place bootable disk in DF0:
  28.                 Boot up as usual
  29.                 Place Demo disk in DF1:
  30.                 Click twice on "QTDemo" icon
  31.                 Click twice on "QTDemo" icon in window
  32.         
  33.         SINGLE FLOPPY DRIVE and/or LESS THAN 1 MEG RAM:
  34.                 We recommend you phone (800) 939-4919 or (916) 649-8935. 
  35.                 We will mail you a disk for S & H as listed below.

  38. This demo contains "QTPlayer" and a large file (broken into 
  39. seven parts for the benefit of those with half-meg machines).  
  40. As each section is completed, the player will automatically
  41. load the next section, and will return to Workbench after 
  42. the last screen is shown.

  44. Some keys are active during the Demo.
  45. The Demo will tell you about some others besides these:
  46.  
  47.         Space Bar   =  Pause or Un-pause
  48.         Left Arrow  =  Back-up one screen
  49.         Right Arrow =  Forward one screen
  50.         Esc         =  Quit (returns to Workbench)
  51.
